Registration

Only one name per certificate is allowed - In order to use this Web site for the purpose of obtaining a "certificate of completion", you must first provide under which State you are registering for your class, complete the registration form and create a user name and password and pay for the course .  During registration you are required to give contact information (such as name and email address) with this you are certifying that you are the person who is completing the course in its entirety. Any misrepresentations constitute fraud on the court and will be reported to the appropriate authorities.We also use this information to contact you about the services on our site in which you have expressed interest and to generate your account settings and credentials.

 

Orders

If you purchase a product or service from us, we request certain personally identifiable information from you on our order form. You must provide contact information (such as name, email, and billing address) and financial information (such as credit card number, expiration date, valid CSC and billing address). Uses of Information

We use the information you provide during registration and in your profile to generate your Certificate of Completion. You are able to utilize your profile section to provide case numbers which we’ll include in your certificate. PLEASE be careful to enter the correct case number.

 

Refund Policy

Parenting Choice's goal is to provide the best experience possible with our online course, if you experience any technical difficulties accessing the online content you have purchased, please contact On-line Support immediately. In purchasing your class, you  understand that all the available content is delivered upon approval and accessed at your discretion and that there will be NO REFUNDS. If our certificate of completion is not accepted by your local court we will issue a full refund with written proof that the certificate was declined. If you purchase this class incorrectly and have not started the course you are eligible for a refund (A $5.00 processing fee may apply)

 

Newsletters

If you wish to subscribe to our newsletter(s), we will use your name and email address to send the newsletter to you.  Out of respect for your privacy, we provide you a way to unsubscribe. When Opting-In you will receive an email which asks you to activate your subscription by clicking on the link provided you are asking to receive the newsletters and information published by our company. You are also asked to Opt-Out when you choose to un-subscribe, If you Opt-Out you will no long receive the newsletter but you may receive notifications regarding your account status.

More on account notifications: To disable notifications deactivate your account. We also stop sending information to you once you complete the course unless you have registered and opted-In to receive our newsletters.

 

Tell-A-Friend

If you choose to use our referral service to tell a friend about our site, we will ask you for your friend’s name and email address.  We will automatically send your friend a one-time email inviting him or her to visit the site.  We store this information for the sole purpose of sending this one-time email and tracking the success of our referral program.

Course Acceptance

On September 20th, 2005 the Florida Department of Children & Families certified this parenting class as an approved distance learning provider for all counties in Florida. See the official letter Click Here

 

As of March 23, 2016 Nebraska's State Court Administrator approved ParentingChoice, Inc. as a provider for the Basic Level Online Course. To see the office letter click here.

 

Additionally, ParentingChoice.com is accepted in many local courts Nationwide. We recommend that you check with your attorney or the local county clerks office if you have any questions about what is accepted by your court. We encourage all divorcing parents to complete a Parent Education and Family Stabilization Course.

 

NOTE: if your case is in Maricopa or Mohave County do not register for this class as it will currently not be accepted as of January 15, 2016

In Oregon - Not all Counties accept online classes. Please do not register for this class. Contact your local County courthouse for details on which class to take.

Timer

Our timer is how we verify that you have taken the course. We track the time you spend reviewing the information required to complete the course. If you stop any interaction with the course material, the system will automatically log you out and discontinue tracking your time. However a record remains of the time and sections you have completed (up to that time). Also, if you close your browser you are also telling the system to log you out and to stop tracking your time.  If you walk away from the computer the system will log you out once it determines that interaction has stopped. We do not support any unethical behavior by our customers, therefore any attempt to fool the timer will cause your account to be deactivated. Tricking our system means that you are tricking the courts which require you to take this course. We report all fraudulent activities.

 

Security

Security The security of your personal information is important to us.  When you enter sensitive information (such as credit card number) on our registration/order forms, we encrypt that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL). Our payment gateway is Paypal Payflow Link with 128-bit SSL encryption to protect vital information.
